影がリアルか、あきらがリアルか。不条理な笑劇。

茂山あきら（大蔵流狂言方）と劇団かかし座（影絵）による対話劇。
日本の古典芸能である狂言の様式に、舞台美術として独特の描写力と想像性を醸し出すハンドシャドウ・シルエット（影絵劇・手影絵）とが織りなすSFみたいな現代のお話。アナログかつシンプルな「狂言様式の言葉」と「影絵の視覚的表現」で、人間社会をコミカルでシュールに描く。人間の行動と深層心理の葛藤について、アナログ発想の限界とデジタル文化のゆがみに迫る。

Akira Shigeyama Special Performance 

“What’s the Right Answer!?”

This is a one-man stage play by Akira Shigeyama, but it’s also a dialogue.

Who could be on the other side of the conversation?

This play is a collaboration between Akira Shigeyama (Okura School of Kyogen) and the Shadow Play Theater KAKASHIZA.

This science fiction-like contemporary story weaves together the style of the Japanese classical art of Kyogen with the unique expressivity and imagination produced by the stage art of shadow silhouettes. Using the simple, analogue language of the Kyogen form and the visual medium of shadow play, it presents a comic and surreal depiction of human society. Through examining the limits of analogue ideas and the distortions of digital culture, it depicts the conflict between human actions and the unconscious mind.
